Why this line

Search already looks for Emberpup. The wiki lists it as No.001, fire, DPS, Lumin. The next three index numbers sit on the same fire family. That is a clean teaching thread: one element, two Nova names, and a BREAK branch.

Leafy is not on this line. It is the REGEN contrast in the starter path. This page stays on 001–004.

Emberpup — Lumin DPS

Emberpup overview, from the wiki: the lively creatures like to follow Flameruffs around; once the smoldering fur starts to burn, they thrive.

Listed habitats: Nimbus Fields, Mistwoods, The Argent Strait, Echoback Landing, Beast Fang Ridge. Forms listed: Basic, Highland, Mountain Woods. Trait on the wiki: Scorching Flames — 15% more damage to enemies weak to your element.

Unknown: whether Emberpup is a guaranteed first companion, and what item, level, or pin turns it into Flameruff.

Flameruff — Gamma DPS

Flameruff overview: pack creatures that prize loyalty and unity; hunters with focused, calm eyes that mask fiery hearts.

Habitats overlap Emberpup’s list but omit Mistwoods on the wiki item we retrieved. That difference is recorded, not explained. Forms: Basic, Highland, Mountain Woods. Same Scorching Flames trait text as Emberpup.

Unknown: the exact branch condition from Flameruff toward Scorchhowl versus Inferlupa, and whether both Nova names can come from one Flameruff.

Scorchhowl — Nova DPS

Scorchhowl overview: they enjoy the thrill of the fight since flame and burning mark their growth. The official main page also features this creature as fire.

Wiki habitat: Beast Fang Ridge only. Forms listed are the longest in this set: Basic, Highland, Thunderstorm, Prismana, Mountain Woods, Umbrabow. Unlocking those forms is unknown.

Use Scorchhowl as “this is what the DPS name on the line is pointing at,” not as a launch ranking.

Inferlupa — Nova BREAK

Inferlupa is fire and dark, role BREAK. Wiki overview: a Flameruff who challenged the strong and lost, absorbing the souls of companions who fell with equal bitterness, driven by revenge.

That sentence is flavor for a branch, not a drop table. Habitats on the wiki item were empty when retrieved. Trait: Full Energy — after eight basic attacks, the next skill is enhanced and treated as basic-attack damage.

Unknown: how you actually obtain Inferlupa from Flameruff, and whether dual typing changes the Scorching Flames pattern used by the rest of the line.
